چکیده
This research study investigates the modelling and simulation of biomass anaerobic dark fermentation in bio-hydrogen production a continuous plug flow reactor. A CFD multiphase full transient model long-term horizons was adopted to biohydrogen mode. Both discharge biomass, which prevents accumulation solid parts, recirculation liquid phase ensure constant access nutrient solution. The effect hydraulic retention time (HRT), pH feed rate on yield rates were examined stage. Metabolite proportions (VFA: acetic, propionic, butyric) constitute important parameters influencing efficiency. substrate inhibition from glucose by attached cells microorganism T. neapolitana applied kinetics used. Hydrogen Consumption in Bio- Hydrogen Process Modelling
Fermentation of sugars for hydrogen production has received increasing interest as a “green fuel” process. Models describing products formation from sugar fermentation has been the focus, applied to generalize anaerobic digestion models. Such models have therefore been in continuous development. Beginning from fixed stoichiometry values as in ADM1 [1] (the most common platform in anaerobic dige...
متن کاملFermentative hydrogen production in packed-bed and packing-free upflow reactors.
Fermentative hydrogen production from a synthetic wastewater containing 10 g/L of sucrose was studied in two upflow reactors at 26 degrees C for 400 days. One reactor was filled with packing rings (RP) and the other was packing free (RF). The effect of hydraulic retention time (HRT) from 2 h to 24 h was investigated. Results showed that, under steady state, the hydrogen production rate signific...
متن کاملContinuous Production of Lipase-Catalyzed Biodiesel in a Packed-Bed Reactor: Optimization and Enzyme Reuse Study
An optimal continuous production of biodiesel by methanolysis of soybean oil in a packed-bed reactor was developed using immobilized lipase (Novozym 435) as a catalyst in a tert-butanol solvent system. Response surface methodology (RSM) and Box-Behnken design were employed to evaluate the effects of reaction temperature, flow rate, and substrate molar ratio on the molar conversion of biodiesel....
